About Us

Salon Tii Gavo…

How do you say it? What does it mean? Is it Italian? If you ask these questions, you are not alone.

We feel our name is original and has great meaning. A Havisupi Indian word, Tii Gavo means "a gathering place." The salon is open, bright, and filled with rich, earthy colors that reflect the warmth of the southwest. Our salon mascot is Kokopeli, the flute player. His image can be found in petroglyphs carved on canyon walls and desert rocks. A symbol of abundance and fertility, Kokopeli carried the seed of good fortune and health on his back. Mischievous but good hearted, he is best known for the music he played upon his flute. His songs were said to bring warmth and life to both the people and the land. Listen carefully and perhaps you will hear the merry sounds of Kokopeli's magic flute!

All Salon Tii Gavo team members are happy to provide you with a FREE consultation at any time to ensure that you get the style you deserve.

Salon Tii Gavo believes…

"A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. They are not dependent on us - we are dependent on them. They are not an outsider in our business - they are part of it. We are not doing them a favor by serving them... they are doing us a favor for giving us the opportunity to do so." The star is not the the person behind the chair. The star is the person in the chair.
